INFOAxel Pilmark formed with his compatriot Ivan Jensen excellent wing half line of Bologna throughout the 50's. While Jensen was more defensive, Pilmark was the brain in midfield, supporting the attack and playmaking but also united it with strength in defensive duties and solid tackling. He was excellent passer with great technique, physically solid and very consistent with excellent vision and tactical awareness. Axel debuted with Danish national team 1947 at Aarhus Stadium against Finland, a game which Denmark won 4-1. Pilmark played in all of Denmark's four games at the Olympics in London 1948 and helped to win bronze medals. Two years after the Olympics, he became professional in Italy and six others from the Bronze team. As the Danish Football Association at that time did not allow professionals in the national team ended the national team career 1950 in a match at Aarhus Stadium as Denmark lost 1-4 to Norway. Axel played 18 A-matches and scored 1 goal against Yugoslavia the 1950. Axel played nine years in the italinska Serie A and were in any year in Bologna. In order to develop the best application of the schemes of systems analysts technical English Crawford, was purchased in 1950 the 25 year old Danish median right Axel Peter Pilmark, from the KB København, team with which he graduated three times champion of Denmark. Recommended to the President by compatriot Dall'Ara Jensen, Pilmark also won the bronze medal at the 1948 Olympics with the Danish National, in which he featured on 18 occasions and scored 1 goal. The quadrilateral strong midfield, supplemented by mezzali Garcia and Bernicchi (or alternatively by former Inter Campatelli), Bologna brings a good seventh place in the league. Pilmark remains in red and blue for nine seasons until 1958/59, always unmovable and also wearing the captain's armband from 1957 onwards, collecting around 278 appearances and 4 goals, ranking among the most representative players of Bologna since the war today. In 1959/60 plays the role of assistant coach, joining Allasio, then at the end of the season back in Denmark, his factory of mechanical components, but will not forget the Bologna, signaling a promising striker Dall'Ara Danish: Harald Nielsen. He played 274 matches, which was the most by a Dane until Martin Jorgensen struck in 2007. Pilmark died 13th July 2009 and lived in Bagsvaerd till his death.
