Geza is former Croatian winger. He was extremely fast, two-footed, great dribbler and is known for the specific method of extortion penalties. Besides he had excellent crosses with great curle and even scored couple of times directly from the corner kicks. His favourite thing was taking corners with his right foot from the left side, with tremendous swerve which sometimes went directly into goal. But he was lazy in training and lacked consistency. He was the youngest in Hajduk's 1950 team which won the title without a single loss. He played for Hajduk (1950-54., And 1957-62), he played 471 matches and scored 132 goals, participated in the conquest of the championship 1950, 1952 and 1955. Šenauer was born in Split to Geza Šenauer, leather merchant, and Zorka (née Rakelić). His father was a Jew from Daruvar and his mother was Split born Catholic. Šenauer parents had an agreement prior to his birth, if the child is a boy he will be raised as a Jew and if the child is a girl she will be raised as a Catholic. So Šenauer was raised Jewish by his family. His father owned boutique and newsstand at the beginning of the World War II. Officer of the Italian fascist army has protected the Šenauer family from persecutions until 1943. He advised them to leave the Split before Nazis and Ustashe come, because as a Jews they will be killed. In September 1943, before the Nazis puppet state NDH took over the Split from the Italian fascists, Šenauer and his family have escaped and hided on the island of Vis. After Vis they escaped to Bari in Italy. Šenauer paternal grandmother and most of his closer and wider family were killed by Nazis and Ustashe during the Holocaust. Šenauer returned to Split in 1947 with the ship from Italy, while his father returned to the city few days before him. Played two seasons for the Belgrade BSK, with whom he won the Cup (in the final against Hajduk). He played for the B team of Yugoslavia and student representation. Two seasons and played for Austria. Klagenfurt, his career ended in the second division club FC Split. He was an active member in the administration of the Split club since 1979 to 1990 director of Poljud stadium.
