INFOHasse Jeppson was centre forward, player with great physical attributes (he also played tennis and was among the 10 best players in the country, later in Italy he beat even famous German Davis Cup player), very strong and athletic but a bit stiff and slow in his movements. Jeppson was known also for scoring impossible goals and missing the most easiest chances. He was good in air as well thanks to his great leap which also enabled him to score many acrobatic goals, anyway he said of todays players the most similar to him is Bobo Vieri. He began his career with Djurgårdens IF, transferring to Charlton Athletic where he played 11 matches in 1951, before moving to Italy to join Atalanta (1951-1952). Later he moved to Napoli for a world record 107 million lira (£70,000) where his goals bolstered a moderate side for four years. There was one final move to Torino, then retirement to an equally successful career as a businessman. He made his debut in June of 1949, for one of three goals in the first Swedish victory against England, next year is part of the team that competed in the World Cup in Brazil, where his only two goals against Italy in the opening game. At the end of the national tournament Scandinavian finished on the third place, a result which will be improved only 8 years after, when they organized the World Cup at home.
