INFO:
Pinardi was a left-half who also played as right-half, centre-half and left-back. His career started in 1947 at Gallaratese. In 1949, he signed for Como where he spent three excellent seasons, making 91 apperances and scoring 7 goals. He was then a reserve at Juventus between 1952 and 1954. He found more space at Udinese between 1954 and 1956, and Lazio between 1956 and 1958. He stayed one more year at Lazio but wasn't featured much. Therefore, he returned to Udinese for the 1959-60 season. He retired in 1961 after spending one last year with Como, playing 23 matches and scoring 1 goal.
Essential for linking midfield and back-line, Pinardi could be compared to a libero, even though his style of play often made him look like a side-back. He was strong, in possession of decent pace, confident touch of the ball and a very good man marking ability, while his timing in the tackles wasn't optimal. Usually deployed as left-half at Como, he was sometimes moved to right-half or centre-half if this meant that he could mark the opposition's most dangerous opponent. His ball distribution was remarkable, especially in his fast crosses, making him a great support for the forwards. He was a threat during set pieces as he was excellent in the air thanks to a great jump and an accurate heading. He was consistent overall, but his condition wasn't always the best.
