Left-inside and centre forward in his very early career. Then sweeper or centre back (occasionally side back as well) before finding his true natural position of defensive midfielder. He was tough, mean and most importantly a professional. A great marking man, he was incredible in front of the defence: he stopped legends such as Sívori, Charles, Liedholm, Angelillo, Corso, Montuori, Julinho, Ghiggia and Boniperti who never scored when marked by Posio. He had sense of position, the strength of a defender, lungs and feet of a midfielder, initiative and sense of goal that allowed him to occasionally score. His most famous goal came on 6th December against Juventus: he received the ball in the box and hit it with a header even though he scored with a hand. Posio played for Napoli 208 matches in seven seasons, scoring 12 goals and capping for Italy once in 1957.
I didn't read anything about him having a powerful shot. I believe his strength is related only to his defensive duty. SPS may go down to 79 and SP to 81.
From the reports, it looks like he may have been capable of delivering good passes from the back. I'd go for LPA 81.
He played as inside mostly in his first season at Napoli and occasionally in his later years. His scoring rate in the first season wasn't bad but it decreased the following seasons since he became a defensive player. SA could go up to 70.
His defensive ability seemed more related to pure marking rather than anticipation. I wouldn't give him much different values for DEF and RES. I'd go for 82 and 83 respectively.
I didn't read anything else about heading a part of that famous goal that he scored with the hand. Could it be that he didn't have a high jump and needed help? Maybe HEA and JUM are overrated but this is just a guess.
