Emblematic defensive midfielder, rigorous and solid Robert Siatka benefited from endurance (the nickname "le cheval ["The horse") not only because of his running style) and versatility: normally on the left side (as a defender or wing half) at home, he took over after Penverne's departure (1959) without any problems his right half position, replaced Jonquet as middle half from 1960, cleared this place for in 1962 Kaelbel and played on the right side again - and did the respective tasks very reliably. However, when Reims was in the European Cup final for the second time in 1959 , an injury prevented him from being used again.
