Andrija Vekić was centre forward, player with great instinct for the goal and good positioning in the box. From April 1945, seven months a soldier Osijek Brigade, after leaving the army he finished high school, but then was employed in the Municipal Bank and accounting services LIO 's. As a professional coach arrived at the football club Slavonia 1963 (then part of the eponymous city sports societies, after Proleter the eve of Roeselare), where he retired in 1989, with a football seniority of 26 years and qualified trainer - instructor, coach first grade and senior football coach. Football first started already in the fifth year of life, performed until the end of his career, in 1958.
