INFO

Alberto Muro was one of the best players in the french league during the 50s. He played normally as SS or AMF. His style of play was similar to the typical argentine player: he was considered an artist of the ball, performing an great variety of dribbles and tricks. A truly technicist, representant of the argentine school of extremely virtuosistic players. Although a bit individualistic, he performed the double role of playmaker and goalscorer, distributing assists to his teammates or finishing the attacks by his own, with precise shots. About Muros life in South America relatively little is known; he came in 1950 from Nacional Montevideo to France. At the FC Sochaux he was from 1951 regular player, and for this club emerged the striker at the end of the season 1952/53, for the first time on a front rank of the league scoring charts on (Rank 6 with 17 goals). Therefore Alberto Muro moved in 1956 to newly minted champion OGC Nice. The following two seasons only in the mid-table from, but the Argentinian shot himself in 1957/58 with 21 point game hits even on the third rank among the top goalscorers. In 1962, he reached with his club also the cup final. The now 35 -year-old moved back to the Mediterranean, where AS Cannes had been offered a job as player-coach. After he had only reached Cannes twice midfield places, he worked 1964/65 in the same dual function for the adjacent amateur club SC Draguignan. In 1966, shortly before the completion of his 39th birthday, he finished his playing career, in which he inserts at 269 games 128 goals in the first division and 101 matches 35 goals in the second French league. He stayed four more years in Ajaccio, led the team in 1967 in the first division and finished his work there at the end of the season 1969/70. From 1974, he began training with AS Monaco another first division; the Monegasque dismissed Muro to one and a half years ago, when the team was in acute danger of relegation. Another coach station is his time to determine when Paris FC in the second division 1981/82 season. Apparently Alberto Muro has also worked yet 1982/83 for the PFC.
