Attack / Defence Awareness Card: BalancedINFOS:It's difficult to know whether Stan Lynn was more famous for his solid, hard-tackling performances at full-back or his thunderbolt shot. The answer is probably both. His trademark way of marking wingers was to stand off the winger he was to mark, and if the ball would go to that winger, in would come Stan with his sliding tackle and take the ball and player over the touchline. He loved to make his way forward - to take a free kick or penalty with his ferocious shot. He is the first full-back to score a top flight hat-trick when he scored three goals, including two penalties, in a 5-2 victory over Sunderland in January 1958.
