Nat Lofthouse is remembered as one of the best strikers England ever had. He scored 30 goals in 33 games for English NT which makes him one of the strikers with the best scoring ratio for England. He is described as a striker whose style mostly resembles on the style of old school English strikers. He was incredibly strong, often even two defenders combined couldn't bring him down. He had magnificent sense of positioning and had a godlike heading ability. His heading combined with his great leap, was an asset for every cross or a corner kick. He was naturally left-footed but he could shot with his right foot just as good. He possessed very hard shot which he often used to create a threat from outside of the box. He was extremely determined, he never gave up fighting for the win. On the other hand, his combative spirit could exhaust him and his movement was much slower as the game came to an and, but he still fought for every ball. He wasn't much of a technician, he tried to dribble from time to time but have rarely succeeded in that. Instead of dribbling, he often tried to shot from all positions even though these shots weren't dangerous for the goalkeeper and even when he had his teammates in better position. He possessed relatively good first touch from which he can create an opportunity for a shot. Still, all of his flaws couldn't deny that he was a truly great striker and one of the most dangerous players in the box and one of the toughest players to guard in the fifties. He remains to this day the greatest ever player to have played for his only club, Bolton Wanderers.
