INFO:Pedroni was a left-back or centre-half and later a libero. His career started in 1942 at Gallaratese where he played until 1948, except for the 1945-46 season at Sommese. He then spent four great years at Como from 1948 to 1952, making 144 appearances and scoring 1 goal. He signed for Milan in 1952 and played 72 matches in four years, again scoring 1 goal. His next experience was at Alessandria where he played 114 games from 1956 to 1960. He retired in 1961 following a forgettable season with Pro Vercelli.
Pedroni was a tough defensive player, smart, sometimes relentless, gifted with great temperament, enthusiasm, courage and determination. He gave his best in the left-back role but he was also deployed as centre-half during the entire 1950-51 season and in several matches of the 1951-52. He had to settle in the new role before finding his best condition, but the difference was obvious during the 1951-52 season as his class was seemingly vanhising. Nonetheless, Pedroni possessed a powerful shot and a solid heading. He balanced the defensive play, being the last bulwark of the back-line and the key player of the team. He was a solid tackler and man marker but showed his limits in terms of mobility when challenging fast strikers. He was the heart and soul of Como as he led his teammates and boosted up their moral in the most heated matches. His long balls were sometimes so fast and long that they could even reach the goal. Furthermore, he could reliably get out from the pressing of the opponent. His good vision and accuracy in his long passes amused the crowds, although he preferred using long balls even when the short pass was a better solution. Of his many crosses, the most memorable came in a 3-1 win against Inter in 1951: at the end of one of his usual progressions, he delivered a long ball to the box but the ball took a strange trajectory and tricked the goalkeeper; apparently, fellow striker Vittorio Ghiandi hit the ball with one final touch and he was credited for the goal even though Como players believed that Pedroni deserved the credit.

26.3.1950 vs Pro Patria
"Pedroni proved to be the master of the pitch which he hasn't been for a long time"
"The wingers Cavigioli and Toros were subjected to the confident and timely tackles by Travia and Pedroni"
Quote:
23.4.1950 vs Roma
"Pedroni's timing in some dangerous melees wasted all Roma's favourable chances"
"Pedroni was an authentic gladiator in the box"
Quote:
7.5.1950 vs Atalanta
"Pedroni was deployed as centre-half to replace the injured Bosco"
"Pedroni performed well, confirming the temperament characteristic of his full-back role with powerful long balls even when the short pass seemed a better choice"
Quote:
15.10.1950 vs Torino
"Pedroni was very efficient. [...] Pedroni as full-back is notably a clean tackler. Make him wear the jersey n°5 and he's transformed: he gasps, is hasty, worried, makes tackles where he seems to use more strength than required. Pedroni as centre-half is like an adventure at first. Then, he improved as time goes on, like he did in the last season. [...] Yesterday, Pedroni felt the responsibility on his shoulders and got it on with determination. That doesn't mean that he played dirty. He committed a few fouls but that happened for many other players in the match"
Quote:
22.10.1950 vs Bologna
"Como's centre-half managed to keep on check Bologna striker Cappello who tried to get free from Pedroni's marking by frequently moving inside"
Quote:
5.11.1950 vs Milan
"Pedroni had one of his most unselfish matches without choosing gentle means to stop Milan's wonderful attack"
Quote:
24.12.1950 vs Lazio
"A honourable mention goes to the leader of Como's back-line Pedroni who doesn't waste time in finesses when choosing his methods, and instead has the athletic quality to make his area like a mine field. Pedroni is one of the few players who embodies and sums up his team in the hot tempered moments of a match, almost gathering his team and transform it first in an invulnerable shield and then an assault sword"
Quote:
28.1.1951 vs Inter
"Pedroni takes the free kick which is deflected by Achilli. Pedroni regains the ball, advances down the right flank and fires a defense-splitting cross. Soldan jumps badly and doesn't touch the ball by using one arm. The ball hits the net in the opposite corner, carried by Ghiandi with his chest"
Quote:
11.3.1951 vs Napoli
"Pedroni's performance was nothing special. He would've surely stood out more if he hadn't faced a very dynamic striker like Amadei"
Quote:
1.4.1951 vs Juventus
"Pedroni was supported by a strong defensive line and often acted as side-back. He was always clean and firm in the anticipation"
