Ion Voinescu was a Romanian footballer and regarded the best goalkeeper in history of Romanian football. Despite the only 174 cm, he was a good goalkeeper with good handling and grip the ball, elastic body, commitment to sacrifice, absolute reliability and fairness and also good fighting spirit. Ion Voinescu won 22 caps for Romanian national football team and also played at the 1952 Summer Olympics.
