INFO:Stevens was a right-winger. He spent most of his career at Fulham, making 413 appearances from 1941 to 1959, scoring 126 goals. He became regular starter following the end of the war. He played also for Wimbledon, Brentford and Sutton United. He apparently played a bunch of games for England during wartime.
Gifted with skills and pace, Stevens was good with both feet and possessed the ability to make lightning quick sprints over 15 yards distances. Moreover, he was solid in the air. Fulham's legend George Cohen considered Stevens one of the most skillful players he ever met, even daring to compare him to Stanley Matthews. An automatic choice in Fulham's starting line-up for years, Stevens was distinguished for his particular running style that ended with an accurate cross at great speed or a cut-in followed by a shot attempt.
