Július Korostelev was a Slovak football player and manager. Korostelev was technically good left winger, although he was more a striker on the left side than a winger. He had good dribbling which he used when he was marked well, but when he wasn't than he'd sprint in the box and shoot. He was good shooter, his shots were strong and also had great volleys technique. He was tall and thin, fast and tenacious, but also dangerous in heading. His parents, Russian immigrants arrived in Czechoslovakia in 1917 immediately after the October Revolution. Began playing at local club "Dolumestie" in 1941. Talented winger moved to Slovan Bratislava in 1945. There are also gaining the nickname Kloki - apparently because of the similarity of his race with a kangaroo leg. During the first season in Slovan in 18 matches 23 goals. After a single season moves to Juventus. Korostelev in 30 matches scored 15 goals but Juventus at the end of the season ending in the second table for local rivals AC. In Bergamo, he failed to build on the previous season and during the next two seasons, shooting 36 matches only 9 goals. In 1949, passes into the third highest club competition Reggina Calcio, which helped to advance to Serie B. In 1951 he moves again, this time in the club AC Parma, where he is the next 5 years and shot 49 goals. Here is he the most successful club scorer. League career ended more than 33 years old in 1956, the club Mantova. In 2003, Julius Korostelev after years abroad, returned home to Slovakia. In recent years, life for seriously ill Burger's disease, for which he had to amputate his leg. Even after 60 years of exemplary literary Slovak speaking than 83 died on the 18th of October 2006 in Torino.
