INFOEzio Loik (26 September 1919 – 4 May 1949) was an Italian footballer who played as midfielder. Loik was wing half and inside forward. Very endurable player and strong, despite the small size, but he had very musculous body. He was player with great defensive work, tenacious in covering and strong in tackling. Known for hiscannon shot with both left and right foot which enabled him to be one of the leading scorers in the team. Loik had good ball control, very secure on the ball, didn't have a great pace but was tactically very smart with good vision. Revealed by his hometown team, the Fiumana, as demonstrated in the small local club talent. Just one season later, the contract was Milan, where he stood out. Three seasons later, he was hired by Venezia. There, right off the bat won his first career title, in addition to the main club history, the Italian Cup. He stayed one more season at the club before being hired by Torino, along with Valentino Mazzola, a leading Italian players in the last century. In his rookie season, won two national titles (league and cup) and is considered the "engine" of the team. This team would later be called the Grand Torino. Although not fast, Loik was the main point of reference for Mazzola, almost inseparable. Even during the war, won three national titles, and close to winning the fourth title in 1949, which was almost guaranteed when it occurred, in May, the Superga tragedy: after a friendly against Benfica in Portugal, and all Loik great team of Torino, as well as leaders and journalists, were killed when the plane they were traveling in crashed into the Superga Basilica. Before the tragedy, Loik had defended the selection of Italy for nine opportunities, scoring four times (being its most important goal against Hungary Ferenc Puskas, when he scored the winning try at eighty-nine minutes (3-2) and was almost certainly a name in the squad for the World Cup 1950. the basis of selection at the time was the time of the Torino, and the eighteen killed, nine are called up regularly for the selection, and a Frenchman and a Czech, who also were summoned constantly to your selections.

Dopo essersi messo in mostra con la maglia della Fiumana, nel 1937 ha la grande opportunità di passare al Milan , molto interessato alle straordinarie qualità da lui esibite nell'allora terza divisione italiana. Loik dispone di un fisico eccezionale e sembra non conoscere la fatica, tanto da poter correre per tutti i 90 minuti senza sosta. La sua andatura è possente ed autoritaria, pur non essendo particolarmente veloce nello spunto; tali caratteristiche gli valgono da subito il soprannome di Elefante. Dal punto di vista tattico sembra avanti anni luce rispetto al livello medio del tempo ed è in grado di anticipare con grande intelligenza qualsiasi situazione sul rettangolo di gioco. Tecnicamente è un giocatore eccelso, capace di ottime giocate personali, anche se la sua peculiarità resta la costruzione del gioco, alla quale partecipa attivamente in perfetta simbiosi con i compagni di reparto. Difficilmente sbaglia un passaggio o un'apertura e sovente riesce ad imbeccare i compagni con pregevoli quanto geniali suggerimenti. Sia come mezzala o come interno destro non disdegna il sacrificio difensivo, mettendo al servizio dalla squadra tutta la sua generosità e le sue inesauribili riserve di energia. Tale notevole sforzo non gli fa perdere la lucidità nei pressi della porta e per tutta la carriera riesce ad andare a segno con ottima continuità.
