INFOSevero Cominelli is former Italian midfielder. An offensive minded and inside forward. Despite playing deeper in midfield he was Atalanta's all-time top scorer for 60 years before being surpassed by Doni. He was most known for his powerful shot which was main source of his goals. Cominelli was player who covered lot of pitch and concludes the attacks with his ferocious shooting, versatile player and fighter who run and fight for whole 90 minutes but also very gentle and bright personality. He started his career at 19 years in the ranks dell'Atalanta, the company that discovered a year before the team of his country, serving as midfielder and instantly becoming the starter. It has been for nearly sixty years the greatest scorer in the history of the team from Bergamo (with whom scored 60 goals), until was superseded in 2007 by Cristiano Doni in the special classification. His career was divided between Atalanta and Inter Milan in the years of World War II: the Bergamo company took the field 251 times, scoring 60 goals in nine seasons (which must be added to the 13 appearances and 5 goals season of 1944), while the Milanese summed 116 appearances and 6 goals in four leagues. He finished in the sport SPAL, in Serie B at the end of the season 1949-1950. Severo Cominelli died in 1998, aged 83. He's remembered as one of the greatest players born in Bergamo.
