Probably the greatest ever Italian right winger and inventor of "STEP-OVER" trick. Except of being a father of step-over and great dribbler, Biavati was also fast and elegant player with solid shot. He was good crosser as well, his crosses from the right flank made Puricelli famous. He grew up in Bologna, his hometown team with which the dispute much of his career. At Eighteen years he began May 21, 1933, sided midfielder in a league game against Casale (7-0) made a one-two in two minutes and he replied two weeks later with two more goals to AC Milan. Despite the excellent performance of that first season back from supporting actor to play the role of return for holders Sansone and Maini. After a season in Serie B in Catania (1935-1936), he returned to Bologna where he still struggled to find its place among the owners. He was able to slowly break: rossoblù won the championship in the 1936-1937 and, after another good season, his international debut June 12, 1938, at the invitation of the World Cup quarterfinals against France. The good performance convinced Vittorio Pozzo to side instead of Trieste Piero Pasini until the final victory. Since then World Champion, won his second championship with Bologna staff in 1938-39. In Milan, in the National, June 4, 1939 created what is considered his best goal, against England after the defender and dribbled with elegance Hapgood British captain and goalkeeper Woodley, deposited into an empty net, getting compliments opponents. Bologna also won the championship of 1940-41, but his career suffered a blue long break because of World War II: the resumption of the championships and international competitions Biavati played 3 more games to close his career in blue in 1947, replaced Romeo Menti now from Torino. The last game, held in Vienna against Austria November 9, 1947, is the only defeat of Bologna midfielder in Italian NT jersey, he scored his last goal against Switzerland in blue, in 1945 led by the 2-2 ' Italy to 4-2, but the Azzurri were then obtained on the tie 4-4.
