Attack / Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedINFO:Ernst Melchior is former Austrian striker. He played mainly as right winger and was one of the best Austrian players on that position. Ernst was very fast player but also strong and direct, very determinate with good attacking intelligence and very effective, always took his chances very well. Ernst Melchior began his football career with his hometown club SV Villach. In 1946, the striker was a surprise of Edward Bauer for the international match on 14 April against the "arch rivals" placed Hungary. For the first time since Franz Fuchs Berger, in 1936, was convened by the SV Urfahr, an amateur playing in the national leagues of the Austrian national football team. Ernst Melchior was able to score on his debut for the 3-2 victory over the Magyars and contribute attracted the attention of many professional clubs in Vienna.
