One of the best ever Osijek players and legends. He was very talented player mainly used as inside forward or even centre forward sometimes. Excellent dribbler who could create and score himself, technically gifted with great footwork and vision, very good scorer with excellent understanding with his teammates and tactical awareness. He played for FC Osijek (1938-43) and Zagreb Concordia (1943). After military training played for Zagorac Varazdin (1944). Joins the partisans 1944th so after the war, together with Zagreb's best players (Bobek, Brozovic, Tchaikovsky, etc.) sent to Partizan Belgrade (1945-47). Ultimately, however, returned to Osijek (1947-58), for which he played 572 times. One of the best football players of all time in Osijek, emphasized the simplicity of the game and excellent collaboration with teammates. After his playing career, he stayed in football as a coach of younger ages NK Osijek. For the Yugoslav national team (1946-50) played 6 games and scored 1 goal; debut 1946th in Belgrade against Czechoslovakia (4: 2), and the last time in Belgrade 1950th against Norway (4: 0, scorer). Franjo died in 2000.
