Miroslav "Meho" Brozović (26 August 1917 in Mostar – 5 October 2006) was a footballer of Croatian heritage who played international football for the Yugoslavian national team, as well as the national team fielded by Nazi-puppet Independent State of Croatia during World War II.
Miroslav Brozović came to Gradjanski from Mostar in 1935 as a winger but later that year the genius of Coach Marton Bukovi recognized a fullback in a man that was a real field fighter, tough and uncompromising. Famous for his long passes from defence, he first played as striker, very tough fighter, with excellent positioning. He had a long drop kick, excellent in heading. The mainstay of defence, uncompromising fighter.
A no-nonsense player Brozović spent 10 years playing for Gradjanski (1935-45) and won 3 Championships (1937, 1940, and 1943) and one Cup (1941). For Dinamo, Brozović played one game in 1945, before going to FK Partizan. In addition to his Gradjanski titles he won 2 Championships (1947, 1949) and one Cup (1947) with FK Partizan, where he spent five years (1945-50), and was their first captain.
A player who played more than 1,000 games in his football career that started in JSK Mostar then HŠK Zrinjski, 1 HŠK Gradjanski, FK Partizan and FK Sarajevo.
He spend his last playing years in FK Sarajevo, lead them to promotion from 2nd Division and later as a coach to their first Former Yugoslavia title (1967). Miroslav 'Meho' Brozović also coached FK Borac (Banja Luka), NK Odred (Ljubljana), NK Željezničar, FK Rudar (Kakanj) and NK GOŠK Dubrovnik.
For Croatia, Brozović played 17 games (1941-44) and for Old and Former Yugoslavia 17 games (1940-41), (1946-48). He played for Yugoslavia Olympic team which won a Silver medal at 1948 at Olympic Games in London.
Meho received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation, FK Sarajevo Golden plaque and until 2004 was regularly attending football matches and was coaching the Bosnia and Herzegovina veteran team.
