Torreke is a legend. In Mechelen and beyond. One of the best wingers in history of football. The Belgian Stanley Matthews as he was known with tremendous pace and dribbling. His name makes the football heart of many sports fanatics beat even faster. And even with those who are not so at home in the world of the green mat, his name sounds like a bell. Torreke - Victor Lemberechts - was the best right winger to ever shine on the football field. For years he was the face of the 'Golden Malinois'. He was active at the red-yellow club his entire career, and with this team from Mechelen he became champion three times between 1942 and 1956.
