Attack MindedINFO:Bercarich was a centre forward. He's mostly remembered by Reggina supporters who consider him a legend because he's the club's top scorer with 71 goals. He played for Reggina from 1945 to 1949 - in Serie C - scoring 66 goals in 80 matches. His huge scoring rate convinced Venezia to buy him for the 1949-50 Serie A season but he played only 14 games and scored 4 goals. He came back to Serie C, which surely was more suited for him. He scored 27 goals in 29 matches for Prato in 1950-51 and 30 in 36 for Cagliari the following season. He gained a Serie B promotion with the
Rossoblu but in the second division he scored way less: 12 goals in 27 games. He had another chance to play in Serie A with Legnano in 1953-54: 6 goals in 24 appearances. From then he played in minor leagues and retired in 1959 after one last year in Reggina.
Bercarich was a tall and strong striker, able in aerial games and gifted with a powerful shot. Although he had a huge physique, he was gifted with technique, excellent ball control and quick dribbling that made him effective in fast actions. When the ball was on his feet, it wasn't easy to take it from him. He was considered an extraordinary attacker who could've done more than he did. Unfortunately he didn't have a general good condition due to his love for smoking, having fun in the night and playing poker. Often his technical qualities weren't enough.
