Mazzucco was a left-back. He started his career at Casale where he played from 1930 to 1934 and in 1943-44, his last year before retirement, for a total 106 matches. He then made 151 apperances for Novara from 1934 to 1941. He also played for Brescia and Biellese.
Mazzucco was a strong and rough defender who didn't care much about his style. He showed some insecurities and his performances weren't consistent as he could either play a great match or a very bad one. He was good at intercepting shots but his clearances usually were weak and short, often resulting in the opposing striker getting the ball back and scoring. Otherwise, he would put the ball safely in corner. He suffered one-on-one challenges against skilled strikers, sometimes having to resort to fouls. He seemingly wasn't particularly good in the air either. A defensive minded player, he never scored in his career.
