INFO:
Notti was a centre forward. He had his best time at Alessandria, making 120 appearances and scoring 39 goals from 1931 to 1936. when he was sold due to an injury and a worsening of his performances. He played also for Genoa and Modena among others. He retired in 1950.
Notti wasn't the typical centre forward who scored many goals ─ the only season where he made more than 10 goals is the 1933-34. In fact, he was mainly an assist-man gifted with tactical awareness and able at setting up the attack. His playstyle was often hard for the opposing team to understand. Fast and technically gifted, he moved a lot outside the box ─ sometimes even to the midfield ─ beat the half backs and centre halves with surprising dribblings and distributed the ball or more rarely tried to score with usually powerful shots. His passing ability was very good and sometimes even his wrong shots became assists. He was occasionally used as inside forward ─ mainly on the right ─ but his performance in that position was less consistent. He had speed of thought, making a turn before shooting when he was in front of the goal or quickly delivering a pass or a cross with good effect when he was outside the area ─ he didn't dislike to occasionally look to score with a long ranger. He possessed a decent heading ability despite his short size.
