Imre Markos (9 June 1908 – 27 September 1960) was a Hungarian football player and coach. Inventive playing a lightning fast right winger. Short stature, but extremely energetic, feel free to play football. The legendary quintet of Debrecen attack line, Markos , Vincze, Teleki, Eőry and Hevesi. As a big-name striker in line for his soul, was the mainspring. He have very fast speed without ball, very agile, accurate passing, hard and dangerous shots and also good technique. Popularity brought humor and constant good humor. He later was the coach of Debrecen VSC and worked abroad, Romania, Sweden, Turkey and Finland.
Playing career
Markos, who played as a winger, spent his professional career in both Hungary and France, playing for Bocskai FC and Stade Rennais. Markos also represented Hungary at international level, scoring five goal in twenty games between 1929 and 1935
Coaching career
Markos managed CS Târgu Mureş, Debreceni VSC, TPS Turku, Degerfors IF, Pyrkivä Turku, Fenerbahçe SK and IFK Kristianstad.
