Horvath was inside left or outside left, sometimes even centre forward. Player capable of dictating the play of the team but also scoring himself. He was small physically but wasn't weak, with good technique and passing range, conducting the offensive actions of his teams, and despite that he was very prolific in concluding those actions as well, scoring lot of goals. He wasn't so skillful like Sindelar and Gschweidl or versatile like Schall but his vision and teamwork made him crucial player of his clubs. Although in NT Toni Schall was preferred on his position since he had excellent understanding with left winger Vogl and because Horvath was absent for some games which actually formed the Wunderteam.
