One of the longest serving Juventus players. Giovanni was player who played almost on all positions but most of time spent as left wing half. It's hard to say who was better of those two brothers Giovanni and Mario. Giovanni was technically more gifted meanwhile Mario was faster and stronger. That's the major difference. Giovanni was tall and elegant player with good ball control, eclectic and temperamental. He was also very strong in heading abilities, useful both in defence and midfield but also solid scorer when playing as inside forward. He played in various roles, however, wearing the shirt of Juventus with his older brother Mario from 1929 to 1947. By the physically imposing player, it reached 183 cm (a true giant of his age) and he knew juggle both defense and midfield. Took his first steps in his his hometown team, which then played the Italian national championships. In the National Division began January 6, 1929 against Napoli, not yet eighteen, collecting 10 presences at the end of the championship. Moved to Juventus, played his first game in Serie A championship in the first round only, the 1929-30, then establishing itself in the years to come as the holder in Juventus able to win 5 consecutive Italian titles between 1931 and 1935. He played the first of his three matches in the National 15 November 1936 against Germany, but was unable to establish itself in the blue shirt. Also have two Cup Italy won in 1938 and 1942. He remained in Turin during the war, war of 1944 playing in the league for two more seasons and wearing the black and white jersey for the resumption of normal leagues. He left Juventus in 1947 after 381 games and 35 goals in the championship. As league appearances for Juventus players is second only to Giampiero Boniperti in the special classification in addition to 19 games and 12 of Italy's Cup Cup of Central Europe for a total of 412 official meetings. He played his last season in Serie B in Palermo, contributing to the promotion, ending his playing career in 1948. The shoes hanging on a nail, immediately began to train the newly promoted Palermo A, failing to reach an excellent eleventh place. Past Atalanta, after the excellent eighth place in 1950, was relieved at the seventeenth day of 1950-51. Yet reached the eighth position with Novara and trained again in Palermo but without much luck. After a year off he moved to Turkey in 1955-1956 where he coached the team the following year Vefa and the Turkish National, before the spring to take over leadership of Vicenza Lanerossi that led to salvation, only to be exonerated the following year. This was his last experience in the top division, later led teams in Serie C as Salerno, Pordenone, Casale and Biella. He stopped coaching in 1965 after winning the Serie A with Jesi. Giovanni died in 1990.
