Mario Gianni is former Italian keeper and one of the leading Italian keepers in his time. Nicknamed the Magic Cat due to his fantastic acrobatic saves, Gianni owned phenomenal reflexes and elasticity, agilty and jumping abilities. He was weak on long range shots though, sometimes it was easier for him to save 2 consecutive shots from close range than saving one from long from long range. Mario Gianni, the Pisan who loved Bologna even before arriving in the city, was born in Genoa on 19/11/1902. The term "magic cat" climax they hitch him in South America, during the famous tour of rossoblù in 1929.
