INFO:

Piet Van Reenen is former Dutch striker and the leading scorer in Ajax history. Van Reenen began his football career at UVV Utrecht. His performances against Ajax Amsterdam that made him over. At Ajax, he played on 15 September 1929 (debut against DFC ) to 18 October 1942 (against Blue White ). More goals than league games, that was one of the main features of the legendary Piet van Reenen. "Goaltjes-Piet ', that was the only nickname he got from the Ajax supporters. And rightly so, because he scored no fewer than 272 goals in 237 matches. Piet van Reenen was born in Utrecht and started his career with UVV. In matches against Ajax, he made such an impression that the Amsterdam decided him within his own ranks to achieve. Blessed with success because hard shot, Van Reenen per match often three or four times to hit. The international career of Van Reenen was remarkably less successful. Twice he was selected for Orange, but in those matches he could not live up to his nickname: he did not score. The coach was not impressed and selected 'Goaltjes-Piet "anymore. At the age of 31 he decided in the season 1941/42 his career as a footballer. Just before his forty-year membership of the club Piet van Reenen died in 1969 at the age of 60.
