Sven Jonasson is legendary Swedish striker who holds the record for most goals (252 goals) and most consecutive games (344 games, 1927–1941) in Allsvenskan (top level of Swedish football). He played as centre forward or inside left, unusually mobile striker, fast and strong with precise shots and excellent heading abilities. Jonasson started his career in his hometown at IK Ymer, before moving to IF Elfsborg, for whom he played in the Allsvenskan. Since his debut on 11 September 1927, he played in 344 consecutive games without a break, a record in the Swedish league. In total he played until his retirement 1946 410 Premier League matches for the club, while the striker reach 252 goals, another record of the league. 1934 and 1936, he was top scorer in 1936, 1939 and 1940 respectively Swedish champion. 1952 to 1954 he was the coach of his native club in the Allsvenskan. Between 1932 and 1940, played 42 international games for Sweden Jonasson. He has scored 20 goals while. Jonasson was a participant at the World Championships in 1934, failed in Sweden in the quarterfinals in Germany, and in 1938, when in the semi-final against Hungary and was the game for 3rd place with a 2-4 lost to Brazil.
