Manuel Anatol is former Spanish born French player who also competed in athletics and was Spanish champion in various disciplines like 100m, 200m, 400m and relays. As a footballer he based his play on physical strength and pace, he was very strong, fast and had powerful shot. He was regarded as one of the best right backs of his time in Europe, who excelled in the interceptions with the head, body and foot. Only the left foot was a bit uncertain. Admittedly, Anatol was helped by his keeper, a little adventurous and acrobatic, but he was the soul of the defense, the dike on which the breaking waves came to break, the irreducible blockhouse. Manuel Anatol was a very complete athlete. In his youth he took part for several years in athletic with remarkable success.
