INFO:Delfin Benitez is legendary Paraguayan striker. He played as centre forward and inside left, but occassionally also as left winger. Benitez was very strong player despite the relativly short size, had great speed and good dribbling abilities, although not as Roberto Cherro. He had strong shot and was very calm finisher but not as Francisco Varallo, very intelligent and complete striker. Exceptional central front that emerged in Libertad of Paraguay, where he debuted in 1927 with 17 years compared to Olympia. His team won 2 to 1 and he scored the second goal. From that day until his retirement has always been a starter in all teams he played. In 1932 he finalized his move to Boca Juniors and their first matches were in reserve. There was struck by 3 goals to give River in a game. In the opposite goal was Sirni, whom he met again over the years, but in the First Division, to score two in a game that Boca won 2-1 on 31 October. Then he would make 4 more goals in official matches first. Dubbed the Machetero, Benítez Cáceres first debuted in Boca on 19 June and precisely against Millonarios. It was 1-1 at the Bombonera, but did not make that time. He brought the team all the scoring power and his great ability to define. In the area, never wrong. He made 108 goals in Boca in 162 games. Account began September 25, 1932 with 2 in Quilmes 7-0 and closed in 1938 (10/12) at 3-4 with Almagro. It is the fifth scorer for local tournaments and is the leading scorer in the history of foreign Boca. He composed a legendary trio with Roberto Cherro Francisco Varallo and with whom joined a terrible and unforgettable front you got the titles of 1934 and 1935. He won the hearts of the fans and his name was sealed between Boca greats. In the wrong decision, xeneizes leaders let him go in 1939. Racing and had passed their greed scorer in 1940 and topped the scoring list (shared with Isidro Langara), although not to the 30 years, one of the few strikers who have made it out as a scorer in this tournament age. From 1942 to 1944, played in Ferro C. West, where he continued scoring goals, which place him in 12th place in the scoring charts the history of our country. And with Eric, Francescoli, Langer and Alzamendi are only five foreign front passed the 100 goals barrier. He continued his career in Libertad of Paraguay, played in Colombia and Venezuela, where he settled permanently. He died on January 10, 2004, in Caracas at age 93 the victim of a prolonged illness.
