Leen Vente is legendary Dutch scoring machine. He was centre forward but also sometimes inside right, very good finisher, two-footed player with powerful shot. Vente could shoot from any distance, was very dangerous at heading but also pretty fast and agile. For second grader who played the prolific striker, in late 1933 when he was the Dutch team debut. He was right next to Frank in Wels, the little man with Unitas also played in the second class. The second class was Vente 1934/Õ35 and in the seasons 1935/36 still faithful. But because the Neptune but still failed promotion to the first class to realize increased Vente as footballer of 25 years a decision that hurt him. In mid 1936 he asked to transfer to Feyenoord. He remained international, he was constantly scoring on behalf of Orange. In his second match he had against Belgians immediately all five rear goalkeeper Vandeweyer laid. Leen Vente in the Dutch team was originally right in, because DST network center forward scored just a bit easier. When it was done in 1937 with Bakhuys as an amateur, was still Vente center forward. His last goals he made it back to Neptune, the Rotterdam club that he was half as player, half served as a trainer. In 1944 he achieved with Neptune in his match finally some time but did not succeed: promotion to first class. Vente was in Rotterdam initially landlord. He later became coach of Flakkee, Xerxes, EBOH, Neptune, VOC and NOAD. He died in 1989.
