Martyna was side back, very fat player but despite that one of the fastest players on the pitch and pretty mobile and agile. His trademark were rocket shots, set piece expert and with precise drop kicks. But he was problematic on the pitch, very violent with many red cards and threats to referees and opponents. Born November 14, 1907 in Krakow, son of Francis and Mary of Lepuckich taught at the local Grammar School. B. Nowodworski (1922) and the School of Economics (1923-1927) and then moved to Warsaw, where he worked in the accounting department of the company "Singer". Military service (1928-1930) took place (clerk) at 20 percentage points in Powiśle, and afterwards continued his professional career (accountant) in enterprises building WKS Legia stadium and facilities CIWF Bielany. In the years 1932-1939 he worked as an accountant in a company "Tungsram". He was known primarily as a great football player (striker, defender from 1928). Eagle graduate of Cracow (1920-1923) and then played sequentially in the Crown Cracow (1924-1928), Legia Warsaw (1928-1936) and Warszawianka (1937-1939). Especially for the capital team deserved military: 9 seasons in the league (1928-1936), 160 matches and 18 goals in Warszawianka 3 seasons in the league, 28 games and scored two goals. Continuously for seven years represented the national colors appearing in 32 games (23 A + 9 unofficial) and scored 5 goals. He made his debut (June 2, 1929) at right-back in the match with Hungary, and the last game he played in Denmark (4 October 1936). Olympian. Participant in the September 1939 campaign was taken prisoner after the surrender of the fortress of Modlin. Released from a POW camp in Iława returned to the capital. During the occupation, he played football in the UEFA conspiracy KS colors of joy. Participant in the Warsaw Uprising (Chief building at ul. Mokotowska 52).
