The very best classic centre wing half in 30's. The conductor of the play and at the same team the destroyer of the opponent attacks. Player who was very strong and tall, especially effective in contrasts with the rivals, mainly the centre forwards. But his trademark were fantastic long balls from defence in course of the strikers, precise in millimeter. He was also very fast player, despite his size and very endurable, combative and intelligent. Pepi used to join attack very often and scored some goals, some of them from free kicks and headers as well. Smistik worked as an animal, always in perfect condition, was master in breaking the opponents attacks and starting offensive moves with his trademark long balls, but also good ball control and dribbling, precise quick one-two passes and used to shoot from distance. He was reading the ball perfectly and had great vision, but also very brisk in his defensive tasks, mainly dominating the duels with even the strongest centre forwards. Tremendous player, interesting to mention he died exactly on his 80th birthday.

Stop the PSD copycats...
