A Croatian player born in Osijek (Austria-Hungary in that time) at 17th February 1913.
He began his career in Slavija Osijek in 1930. and stayed there until 1934. He moved to powerful BSK Beograd and won 3 leagues, in 1935., 1936. and 1939. Stayed there until World War II, when he moved to HSK Gradjanski Zagreb, and played for Croatia. After war, he moved to Proleter, and retired in 1949.
He was one of the best wing-halfs in country, tireless, explosive, good creator, mobile, good in ball recuperations without making any fouls, very brave and devoted, with good technique and heading. He won 44 caps for Yugoslavia and 12 for Croatia.
He passed away in 5th February 1987.
