One of the best strikers in PSV history despite the fact injuries destroyed his career. Prolific left footed centre forward, small but pretty tough and tenacious with decent technique and shot, he was good in heading and had solid pace, very astute and smart in the box. Jan van der Broek started at WSB and it vvervolgens Sixth and went to NAC . In 1925, at the age of seventeen, celebrates his first distrcits title. Van den Broek moved from the season 1927/1928 to PSV , where he gets a job at Philips . PSV small stocky center forward immediately proves his worth in his first six seasons at PSV van den Broek scored 127 times in 131 games. Yet he also experiences some setbacks when he was twice needs surgery. His knee at the age of 23 Eventually, he played 10 seasons for PSV , and a total of 200 league games games in which he scored 154 times .
