Attack / Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedINFOS:Eric Houghton is a legendary Aston Villa winger. With Billy Walker and Pongo Waring, he formed a magnificent attacking line that scored most of the 128 goals that Aston Villa scored in the 1930/31 season. He started his career at very young age as a striker, but since that place was filled when he was transfered into the first team, he started on a left wing. He was a skillfull, pacey winger with incredibly powerful shot. His shot was regarded as the hardest shot of that era. He was a free-kick specialist, and a penalty kick maestro. Interestingly, he missed a penalty on his debut for the Villans. Including wartime years, he scored for Aston Villa over 200 times. He wasn't the first choice for the national team as he played at the same time as Cliff Bastin, but still he managed to play 7 games and scored 5 times.
