I found a very interesting book about Renato Olmi. Here's some translated quotes that might help updating this set a bit more.

Before joining Cremonese:

Spoiler: show
Quote:
"Leader in the midfield, he impressed as central half-back. Sharp and accurate touch of the ball, calmness and perfect passes are the qualities that promise him a bright future. He can hold the pressure of the opponents but also push forward, counting on an uncommon ball control. Despite his young age, he can face difficult challenges with lucidity and without being overwhelmed by fear".

Quote:
"He stopped the opposing attacks and triggered the actions for his team thanks to an extraordinary competitiveness".

Quote:
"He was the youngest but also most versatile player: he started as forward and became inside and then half-back. It's exactly as playmaker from the back that he could show his athletic and technical abilities".

As Cremonese player:

Spoiler: show
Quote:
"He dominated the midfield as central half-back thanks to his physique and sprints that allowed him to reach his opponent with relative ease. He's an excellent dribbler but he's distinguished particularly for his ability in the air".
(when I say "dribbler" I translated "palleggiatore" which can also mean "playmaker", so I'm not too sure on that).

Quote:
"Commentators highlight his physical power, remarkable agility, the tendency to make sudden and quick markings. He has the right timing and doesn't fear physical contact. For the opponents, rather than a human he was a wall, but a very mobile one".

Quote:
"He loves the physical game but he shows the right balance between technique and strength".

As Brescia player:

Quote:
"The best praise goes to Olmi, highly efficient in the defence, always clean in the offense".

As Inter player:

Spoiler: show
Quote:
"He was young, a fighter in the field and always had control of the match. Those are qualities that everyone recognized in him. He played with serenity even when the stakes were high. Meazza respected him for this".

Quote:
"Always correct in the passes, changing them depending on the situation, he breathed from the first to the last minute of the match".

Quote:
"He can give the ball to the wing-halves and run with intelligence and the correct vision of the pass".

(during an unusual underwhelming performance)
Quote:
"Very capable in a static position, he's often unsure in sprint and reflexes".

Quote:
"In the midfield Olmi stood out again for his consistency of hard work. He never made Piola escape".

Quote:
"He controlled all three Milan central players by himself. His pace is the same during the whole match, he distributes the ball with neatness, he controls his strength to avoid difficult moments. Regularity is the best characteristic of his playstyle".
