INFO:Ottani was a right winger, capable of playing in every other attacking position. He spent his entire ─ though short ─ career at Bologna, making 84 appearances from 1929 to 1936, scoring 33 goals. A medical student, he retired early from football once he graduated because it was for him only a hobby. Mainly a reserve for Bruno Maini, he made himself notice due to his qualities and efficiency whatever position he acted in. He was very prolific ─ 22 goals scored in 48 matches only between 1930 and 1933 ─ and gifted with an uncommon sense of scoring, always making himself find ready in front of the goalkeeper to anticipate him. He showed opportunism, vivacity, coolness, ball control and great speed, giving troubles to the opposing defenders, overcoming them with his carefree playstyle and sudden sprints especially when he could take advantage of their flaws. He was also a decent passer, providing several assists.
