INFO:Piccaluga was a winger. His career started in 1924 at Pro Vercelli. He had his most successful time at Modena, where he made 194 appearances and scored 46 goals from 1927 to 1934. He retired in 1938 after spending three years at Palermo and one at Biellese. He capped for Italy twice in 1929.
Piccaluga was an exciting winger whose play was smart and similar to the modern secondary striker. One of the fastest wingers in Italy at the time, he had an excellent running style that allowed him to slip between the defenders and create space for his teammates. He was a good scorer who didn't fear joining a melee in front of the goal and send a loose ball in the net. But he mostly provided important assists with accurate passes and perfect crosses that cut the opposition's defence. He adapted himself well as his game was proportional to that of the inside forward he was playing alongside.
