INFO:

Sandy Archibald was a legendary Rangers winger, the all time leader in league appearances for the club. In an incredible 17 year career with Rangers he won 13 league titles, an all time record in Britain shared with Ryan Giggs, and only 6 players in world history have won more. Archibald was a dominant winger with a strong mentality. He always seemed to turn up at the most difficult moments and was physically tough, from his background as a miner. He also had a powerful shot and scored over 150 goals in his 625 games for Rangers. Archibald wasn't a dribbling genius or an athletic prodigy, but it was incredibly difficult to keep him quiet over 90 minutes and he was ruthless, totally exploiting any poor defending. And he was known for his strong ball carrying and powerful crosses. With his strength of personality and will to win, he was a crucial player for Rangers for over 10 years. Despite his remarkable performances for his club, he only managed to earn 8 caps for Scotland, mostly due to the presence of Alex Jackson who was the best player in Britain at his peak.
