INFO:Gostha Pal was a right back. He spent the majority of his career at Mohun Bagan from 1912 to 1936. He capped for India from 1924 to the early 1930s, when his body couldn't bear fatigueness anymore.
Regarded as one of the greatest ever Indian players and arguably the best Indian defender of his era, Pal was gifted with unmatched abilities at the time. He was fearless and nicknamed "Wall of China" due to his great defensive prowess and strong physique that frightened the opposing attackers. He possessed a pure tackling ability as well as the keen ability to read the game properly. Moreover, he could deliver remarkably accurate pinpoint passes despite playing barefeet. All the aforementioned qualities elevated him to icon status in his country.
