Migliavacca was a right-winger. His career started in 1919 at Casale where he spent the majority of his career, playing in 1919-20 and from 1923 to 1934, for a total 259 appearances and 51 goals. He also played for Novara, Asti and Lanciano where he retired in 1941. He capped for Italy 11 times, scoring 3 goals.
A short but stocky winger with short and slightly bent legs, Migliavacca possessed sharp dribbling, excellent speed, accurate ball distribution especially in his crosses, and a shot of terrific power. He was confident on the ball and clever in his game. He could get to the end of the field and send a good cross to the box or start the attack before cutting inside and receive the ball in front of the goal. He wasn't too accurate from favourable positions but he possessed remarkable shot technique and first-time touch. He was also a good header, although the heading game wasn't one of his trademarks.
