Scarioni was a half-back. He spent his almost entire career at Milan, making 142 appearances from 1908 to 1921, scoring 4 goals. He was team captain in the last two seasons. He retired in 1923 after a short experience at Milanese. He was close to be called up for Italy in numerous occasions. Scarioni was a valid defensive midfielder who impressed for his audacity and brilliance. He wasn't powerful as he wasn't neither tall nor heavy. Despite this gap, he feared no physical challenge with stronger opponents and was one of the few men to resist for the entire length of the match without losing efficiency. Moreover, he possessed speed and agility superior to most players of the time. Therefore, he had no troubles against quicker teams also because his playstyle was made mostly of sudden sprints, jumps, sliding and dives. Sometimes he insisted too much in acrobatic movements when they weren't necessary.
