INFO:Novo was a full-back. His career started at Vigor in the 1910s. He played at Juventus for the rest of his career, making 92 appearances from 1919 to 1925, scoring only goal that came from penalty on 30 November, 1919 against Pro Vercelli. He retired just one year before Juventus' second
Scudetto. Forming a fantastic couple of defenders with Antonio Bruna, Novo didn't have the same luck as his teammate and never capped for Italy. Novo was a confident, generous and fair defender. He was gifted with excellent technical qualities and neat ball control as he apparently was a centre forward before joining Juventus. He played with almost exasperating calmness, although his style of play was reliable and powerful. He used to feint the tackle to unbalance his opponent before snatching the ball off him. He had a quite solid physique and enough quickness in recovering the ball. He disliked sweeping the ball with volleys, preferring to wait for the ball to hit the ground first. This way he could pass a teammate the ball with the right accuracy. However, when it looked like a fast striker was about to take the ball ─ which happened often ─ Novo anticipated his opponent timely to sweep the ball away.
