INFO:Robinson was a right inside and half back. He spent the majority of his career at Liverpool, where he made 271 appearances from 1904 to 1912, scoring 65 goals. He played also for Sunderland and Tranmere Rovers, retiring in 1915. A hardworker who gave his contribution both offensively and defensively, Robinson was a bulky player who relied on his frantic style of play, determination, endless stamina, good skills. These characteristics were very helpful when he was moved from inside right to half back, although it's as forward that he really proved himself. He was a deadly scorer, especially in the 1904-05 season, as he wasted no time to beat the goalkeeper as soon as he was within shooting range. Other than that, he could hold the ball, difficult to take off him, tangling the opposing half back before passing the ball to the right winger, showing a good ball distribution. However, he was criticised for his lack of tactical brain. In fact, while he was brave, dashing, and gifted with a fair turn of speed, he didn’t have a cool composure, which affected his footwork and made it more difficult for him to retrieve from awkward positions.
