Said was a right winger and inside forward. Considered as one of the greatest players in the history of Atlético Mineiro, he played there from 1927 to 1934, scoring 142 goals and winning the Campeonato Mineiro three times.
Forming the Trio maldito alongside Mário de Castro and Jairo de Assis Almeida, Said used to run a lot down the flank, mostly looking for a chance to score and sometimes for space to deliver a cross. On the other hand, Mário and Jairo were respectively the main scorer and the brain of the team.
