Attack / Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedINFO:Blackburn Rovers' legend Eddie Latheron was a gifted inside forward, mostly on the left side, and he's considered one of the most talented players in the history of the team. A constant player, he spent his entire professional career at Blackburn Rovers (excluding a spell as guest at Blackpool) winning the English championship in 1911-12 and 1913-14. Latheron played 303 matches and scored 120 goals for Blackburn and he's still today the club's 4th top scorer. The inside also capped for England twice and scored once in 1913-14. He was tragically killed in 1917 due to a shot during the World War I.
Known as "Pinkie" due to his fair complexion, he was one of Blackburn Rovers' brighters talents. Despite not having have an imposing height nor a huge physique, Latheron was surprisingly good in the air. He was also a prolific scorer, gifted with outstanding technique and a very accurate shot, but also an unselfish and gifted playmaker. His touch and timing were flawless and his high vision in creating scoring chances for the teammates made him a fans' favourite. His main position was left-inside but he could play equally well on the right side.
