Cabella was primarily an attacking midfielder, but he could also play on both sides. Excellent dribbler, with quick movements, he was a nightmare for defenders with all kinds of tricks. He often assisted to his teammates and was really good in delivering passes on long distances. However, he was physically very weak, in almost every physical confrontation he would have ended up on the ground, but all he lacked in strength, he made up with his skill. Unfortunately, as his teammates Belhanda and Yanga-Mbiwa, he never reached his full potential. At one moment, Cabella was even touted as the new Zidane, too bad that never happened.
